Who we are
We started as a print design company in the early ’00s that worked with participatory approaches to design before moving into websites, installations and software. Since 2010, we have been using our experience in design and the creative industries to support StartUps, innovation processes, and digital transformation in public, private and third sectors. Clients include Enterprise Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, South of Scotland Enterprise
Director and Founder
Ronald leads the business and has spent the last 20-plus years working in system designs, participatory design, innovation support and R&D. He has worked in the private sector, the public sector, and academia (most recently teaching Strategy and Innovation at the Open University Business School). He specialises in using design based approach to enable organisations to create value.
As well as a wealth of practical experience, Ronald’s is what has been termed a liminal professional, and keeps one foot in academia. His doctoral research focused on the strategic role of design in partnership work to support innovation and digital transformation in organisations. He also has an Executive MBA where he focussed on the application of lean design to improve organisational processes. He interest in these areas and continues to publishes in peer reviewed publications.

The answer is always to start at the end, start with the future you want to create and then design an approach that helps you and others on the journey to get there.
It sounds esoteric, however, it is what anyone who wants to make something does, from a garden to a community empowerment strategy to a new production process or a software solution.
What we do is use our experience to offer you a structured approach to realising those goals based on tried and tested techniques from systems theory, participatory design and business and management.
