We work with clients on a range of programmes to support design led approaches to innovation. Based on a tried and tested process this includes structured programmes on Culture of Innovation for Enterprise Ireland and Design Thinking for Science Foundation Irelands approach to supporting fundamental scientific research through design led approaches to working directly with clients in a range of sectors and providing support through framework contracts with Highlands and Islands Enterprise and South of Scotland Enterprise

We specialise in working with messy problems, technically and socially complex issues with no clear solution. Our experience tells us that implementing an novel of innovation idea is about more than demonstrating technical efficacy, it is about understanding the change systemically. Whether it is mentoring teams of researchers or working with social innovators to address societal challenges we have a range of experience and tried and tested tools and techniques to support you.

For us, design is a key form of inquiry, we recognise that design inquiries arise in three forms.

• Inquiries in design, which explore designer as problem solvers

• Inquiries for design, which is the research designers do as part of making things, from materials and methods to user experience.

• Inquiries through design, where the act of making and the iterative testing and validation is part is a key part of ensuring the design addresses needs.
